Post Award Manager MED-CORE-ADMIN-RESEARCH Full Time 79963BR Job Summary The Department of Medicine (DOM) Post Award Manager reports to the Director of Research Administration and Revenue Management and works very closely with the Post Award Manager for the DOM at ZSFG. This position is responsible for achieving the recruitment and training objectives for the DOM for all new Research Finance Analysts (RFAs). This will also entail developing interactive training materials for Division Manager research administration refresher workshops and introductory courses for P2 "interns" seeking a career path as a DOM RFA. An expert in the functional area of research administration, the Manager will use their expertise to develop and refine interactive training materials as needed. This role will also provide project management for a portfolio of process improvement projects (under the direction of the Director of Research Administration and Revenue Management) related to research administration, which include systems development, clinical research operations and research strategy. The Manager is also responsible for providing direct research administration support to faculty on a limited basis and as needed in order to maintain their RFA skills and understanding of common workflows. The Post Award Manager will be a first point of contact for DOM RFAs seeking guidance on policies. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $108,800 - $163,200 (Annual Rate). The DOM has an annual budget of $484M across three sites with over 2,000 employees. The DOM comprises 22% of all UCSF faculty, 26% of the SOM's faculty, and 20% of the SOM budget. For the past 30 years, the DOM has consistently ranked among the top four departments of medicine in the country, and in five of the past six years, the department has been the number one recipient of NIH research dollars.
