Specialist, Shipping

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understand daily shipment schedules and customer service level agreements

Communicate and plan with carrier vendors for outbound shipments

Verify pallet/case counts on shipments

Initiate requests for researching missing units/cases needed for shipments

Collect data to produce end of month and other shipping reports

Ensure compliance with safety guidelines in assigned area

Assist on load/unload as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous carrier (TL & LTL) shipping experience preferred

Sit down forklift experience preferred

High attention to detail and quality

Ability to manage multiple tasks of planning and tracking shipments

Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to work with others in a positive manner

Knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel/Word/Outlook)

AS400 system experience preferred
