THE ROLE: SLED Industry Advisor, Sr. Director

Job Summary:

As a SLED Industry Advisor, Sr. Director , you will serve as the authoritative voice and expert collaborator for Presidio Sales teams that manage and sell into the more than 90,000 organizations, including State Governments, Counties, Cities & Municipalities, Public School Systems and Higher Education Institutions. This role involves bringing together industry solutions, partner solutions, and technology awareness from the ecosystem to assist customers in transforming and addressing complex industry challenges.

Presidio's commitment to advancing digital outcomes in the SLED Market, involves leveraging expertise in cloud computing, AI, and data analytics. Presidio provides tools and platforms that enhance productivity, expedite outcomes, and facilitate the development of solutions that advances technology and digital transformation at our customers.

As a Subject Matter Expert within the SLED Market, the Industry Advisor will leverage technology in collaboration with HyperScale Partners and strategic vendor/solution partners to drive innovation and enhance business outcomes. The advisor is expected to possess in-depth knowledge of industry trends, understand the priorities of decision-makers, and effectively articulate the value of technology transformation using cloud and other digital solutions. Typical interactions will involve executive briefings and business workshops. A successful candidate for this role would have experience in a similar position within a National or Global SI or have served as a CPO, VP of Products, VP or Technology Strategy, VP of Engineering or as a critical decision-maker at a reputable SLED customer.

Travel Requirements:

This position does require some regional travel, approximately 30%.

Job Responsibilities:

The SLED Industry Advisor, Sr. Director will play a key role in helping customers envision and propel their transformation. This involves combining strategic consulting with deep industry and technical expertise. Collaborating with the broader account teams, your focus will be on identifying the distinctive business needs and opportunities of customers, offering guidance and recommendations that align with their requirements. Additionally, you'll work closely with industry partners to pinpoint and implement opportunities, scale business results, and create prospects within the SLED market.



  • Voice of the Customer: Fluent in Ed Speak and Gov Speak. Be very fluent in the technology, procurement, process, verbiage of the SLED Market. Leverage your knowledge of the solutions and priorities in the industry, including modernizing legacy systems, adopting cloud technologies, knowledge of cybersecurity solutions, and engagement experiences.
  • Trends and Solutions catered to SLED: Knowledgeable in Regulatory compliance solutions, Cybersecurity solutions, emergency preparedness, resilience, sustainability, Interoperability and Data Sharing.
  • AI/ ML and RPA: Deep knowledge on AI/ ML solutions and/or RPA solutions and utilized them for solving a variety of outcomes like repetitive task automation, automating data entry, citizen self help bots, traffic advisory, population health etc.,
  • Strategic Advisory: Provide strategic guidance to Internal Sales Leadership and Senior executives at SLED custoemrs
  • Sales Enablement: Collaborate with sales teams to assist in customer conversations, providing industry specific insights and articulating the value proposition of our cloud-based solutions.
  • Collaboration with Technical Teams: Work closely with technical and solution architecture teams to ensure all customer requirements & regulations are seamlessly integrated into proposed solutions.
  • Training and Enablement: Conduct training sessions for sales teams on SLED market technology priorities and challenges in ensuring a well-informed and empathetic approach in customer interactions.
  • Feedback Loop: Establish a feedback loop with clients and internal teams to continuously improve and refine our offerings.


Required Skills:



  • 5+ years of experience working within a SLED customer in product or solutions development/ advocacy.
  • 5+ years of experience working at a GSI/ Vendor advocating solutions to SLED Market.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical selling to Technology decision makers
  • 3+ years of experience in implementing, supporting or managing a cloud-based solution.


Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Public Sector, Healthcare, Supply Chain, Education, Business or related field AND 7+ years customer-facing experience in operations, enterprise-level improvement program management, product management, technology or industry-relevant equivalent management or technical work experience


OR



  • 10+ years in the industry or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, Education, Business or related field AND 5+ years customer-facing experience in operations, enterprise-level improvement program management, product management, management consulting, consultative selling, technology or industry-relevant equivalent management or technical work experience or equivalent experience.
