OVERVIEW:

The Service Center Coordinator is responsible for all programs related to the Service Center and to assist with various duties in the office as assigned by your supervisor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Oversee and be responsible for the supervision and conduct of all Service Center programs and Ministry
  • Develop and maintain communication in the community between The Salvation Army and other agencies, both private and governmental agencies.
  • Develop and maintain a communication strategy that brings attention and a public profile of TSA in the local community
  • Oversee the business administration and financial accounting of the Ministry
  • Ensure that accurate financial and statistical records of the Ministry are kept up to date and sent to GS DHQ in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the upkeep of property under the Ministry and Service Center
  • Responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising all program staff and volunteers
  • Responsible for recording and maintaining all the necessary forms for individuals serving community service
  • Assist with any and all programs of the Center
  • Create an atmosphere of cooperation and participation with staff and clients
  • Provide oversight of volunteer units in Mono and Inyo Counties (Walter, Lee Vining, Mammoth, Independence and Lone Pine)
  • Other related duties as required


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • CA Driver's license (required)
  • Commitment to the Christian Mission of The Salvation Army.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:



  • Ability to work independently
  • Detailed oriented
  • Great communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to multiple tasks


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (usually file boxes)

  • Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software
