Salary: $115,000 - $120,000 per year + 10% bonus

Our client is a well-established real estate company with a diverse portfolio of properties located across the United States, with a strong focus on industrial real estate assets.

The company specializes in the development, management, and investment of various real estate assets, with a significant presence in the industrial property sector.

With a substantial portfolio consisting of numerous existing industrial properties, the company holds a prominent position in the industrial real estate market.

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will be tasked with managing the financial reporting functions associated with an expanding portfolio of industrial real estate assets.

This role involves generating and assessing financial reports and maintaining the accuracy of the company's financial records, with a specific focus on the unique aspects of industrial property accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Generate, examine, and balance financial reports, banking records, and accounting ledgers for industrial properties

Record financial transactions, oversee asset documentation, and contribute to periodic closing processes for industrial real estate assets

Develop budgetary plans, projections, and assist with audit and tax-related paperwork specific to industrial properties

Monitor tenant contractual commitments and compile reports for lenders and partners in the industrial real estate sector
Assess and track debt agreements and calculate partner contributions and allocations for industrial property investments

Qualifications:

At least four years of experience in accounting for industrial real estate assets (essential)
Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a comparable discipline, with coursework relevant to industrial property accounting
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and its features, particularly those applicable to industrial real estate financial analysis

Preferred Qualifications:
Public accounting experience and/or CPA designation, with exposure to industrial real estate clients
Familiarity with real estate accounting software such as MRI, Yardi, Timberline, or comparable platforms, with a focus on their application in the industrial property sector

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
