Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Day/Eve shift

Hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Summary:
Reports to the Practice Manager and works under the direct supervision of the Medical Director/Physician(s), the Urgent Care Clinical Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the urgent care center. Coordinates and supervises operation and duties of administrative, clerical, and clinical staff.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university preferred, Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preferred
Experience: Two or more years, required in relevant Medical Management experience, in a medical/physician's office or emergency room. Previous medical/nursing experience helpful.
Licensure and/or Certification:
CPR/BLS certification required and maintained, ACLS and PALS certification encouraged
Skills:
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records (GE Centricity and Meditech), Microsoft Office and Outlook and use computer based scheduling to record and maintain demographic, scheduling, and related information
Must be able to read and write English and possesses verbal and written communication skills to understand and interpret instructions
Superior customer service skills, with experience to handle escalated issues
Demonstrates effective professional and positive communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families and urgent care staff, on the phone and in person
Knowledge of medical billing systems, medical coding, and third party payer requirements as well as the ability to process financial transactions
Knowledge of office and laboratory procedures
Accurately read and write medical terminology
Strong aptitude for detail with excellent critical thinking, multitasking, problem solving, and organizational skills
Work in a high-pressure environment independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
