As part of a small, passionate team of experts, you will be responsible for maintaining Bill of Materials (BOM's) for rocket engine assemblies. You will coordinate efforts between Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering and Production Control, and you will share in the team's impact on all aspects of Blue Origin's ability to develop, test and fly rocket engines.

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. The permanent location of this position is Huntsville, Alabama, and passion for our mission and vision is required!

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain mBOM and eBOM connections in Windchill
  • Use queries (Tableau, SQL, Excel, etc) to maintain accuracy of mBOM's, Manufacturing Plans (Routings) and Work Instructions
  • Ensure Work Instructions in ERP system are calling correct mBOM part numbers and versions by using queries to spot errors
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineers and Production Control personnel to help maintain data integrity of BOM's, Manufacturing Plans (Routings) and Work Instructions
  • Engage in cross functional communication to ensure accuracy and timely creation/maintenance of BOMs and product information.

Qualifications:

  • BS or AS degree in an engineering or manufacturing field of study from an accredited university
  • At least 3 years of operating in a production environment with ERP/MRP experience (multi-level BOM structure and creation)
  • Experience with Windchill PLM software
  • Advanced PC skills, proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work closely within cross-functional teams to perform tasks with precision and within required time frames
  • Working with SQL, redshift, Tableau
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired:

  • APICS training and/or certification
  • C, C++, Java, VB, and/or Python proficiency
  • Able to query and join data from multiple data sources
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
