Responsibilities

Summary

This position is oversees all clinical program activities related to the Intensive Residential Treatment Program (IRT Program) at CAE.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understands and applies all requirements defined by licensing authorities and internal business processes and ensures that staff are in full compliance.
  • Ensures that all staff requiring credentialing meet states requirements at initial hire and maintains such licensing through their employment.
  • Responsible for the clinical oversight and clinical care of IRT licensed program services at CAE.
  • Understands processes and procedures related to insurance billing and oversees the process of billing and required documentation.
  • Oversees internal and external audits of program content, insurance billings and other related internal and agency inspections.
  • Ensures that program curriculum meet company standards as well as licensing authority program content requirements.
  • Assists in developing, organizing, and conducting programs to provide education for conditions and problems relating to drug and alcohol abuse.
  • Oversees treatment planning and service provision and ensures that individual program participants are assigned a proper level of care.
  • Mentors treatment staff and monitors the service provision for individual and group treatment services.
  • Recruits treatment staff to include interviewing, hiring, assigning work, training, coaching, and counseling to ensures consistent application of employee guidelines, processes, and procedures. Provides input to performance reviews for treatment staff.
  • Provides support for substance abuse program activities including providing activity reports, reviewing the files of treatment staff to ensure the accurate and timely documentation and creating an environment which supports that mission of the program.
  • Responsible for facilitating on-going communication with the licensing authorities and referral agencies and any applicable contractors regarding the delivery of treatment services.
  • Serves as a Company representative in various community and treatment services associations and groups.
  • Maintains a collaborative relationship with other substance abuse professionals, programs, and associations.
  • Develops and updates clinical policies and procedures, treatment manuals and training curriculum, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, or a related field, required. Master's degree in behavioral science or a related discipline highly preferred.
  • Certified Addictions Counselor III (CAC III) or Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), required.
  • Working knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy programs.
  • Proven experience in supervising a substance abuse program.
  • Preference given to experience within a correctional setting.
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner in both individual and group counseling settings.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a team of professionals and have the ability to implement team strategy approaches to work assignments.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
