Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operating the CT scanner safely and proficiently.
  • Obtain a high standard of imaging and positioning
  • Coordinate patient prepping and scanning to maximize smooth patient flow
  • Demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions and be able to start an IV line to administer contrast fluids
  • Transport patients to and from the department
  • Handle telephone scheduling procedures and operate the PACS computer system
  • Assist with other activities as necessary

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Technical or Associate's radiography degree
  • Must be registered or registry eligible with the ARRT
    • If registry eligible upon hire, you must become registered within one year of employment
  • Maintain registry while employed
  • BLS certification
