Arconic is currently in search of Process Improvement Technician to join our Tennessee Operations in Alcoa, Tennessee.

Arconic Tennessee Operations is seeking a talented Process Improvement Technician for our Tennessee Operations facility. This position is responsible for a wide variety of manufacturing process engineering and production activities in a specific production department, including:



  • Daily "on the production floor" activities working with operations and maintenance employees to achieve efficient and effective equipment and operational processes.
  • Lead operations personnel dedicated to maintaining equipment cleanliness standards.
  • Execute environmental data tracking.
  • Coordinate & implement Lean Manufacturing principles across the department's material flow paths and must gain a complete view and understanding of the area's manufacturing process to be successful.
  • Execute tactical projects improving the processes of safety, recovery, equipment health, and production.
  • Coordinate efforts on process improvements, including capital projects, reliability excellence, and will support and lead the execution of problem-solving efforts related to process and machine improvements.
  • Relief supervision of departments as needed to support the operations of Ingot, Can Reclamation, and Railroad.
  • While this role works primarily daytime shifts M-F, the incumbent must be flexible to work off-shifts as needed to support the functions of this role.


Basic Qualifications



  • Highschool diploma or GED
  • 4 years of previous manufacturing experience
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with aluminum casting and melting processes
  • Experience with equipment designed for material conveyance
  • Ability to engage with employee at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with the application of lean manufacturing principles in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience identifying and assisting in resolving process-related problems
  • Strong business, technical, computer, and analytical skills (from educational background and/or manufacturing experience.)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or technical discipline.
