This is a paid, part time internship.

Work hours be will between Monday - Friday during our operational hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The intern will be working a maximum of two or three days per week.

Responsibilities

Summary

The intern position assists with data entry, participant observations, and group co-facilitation. Under direct supervision, this intern observes and may participate in participant program activities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Intern, under direct supervision, assists with the check-in process of all participants entering the facility.
  • Assists with the initial starting point process with participants, which may include, but is not limited to, starting point paperwork, data entry into the Company database, and assignment of groups and other services.
  • The Intern provides general office administration duties, including answering phones, creating participant files, and scheduling participant appointments. Provides general customer service to all who enter the facility, including participants, customers, and the general public.
  • Files, prepares charts and performs data entry as assigned.
  • The Intern maintains participant files (electronic and hard copy versions) for Case Manager caseloads and ensures all documentation is completed in accordance with established deadlines and program policies.
  • Assists case managers with case coordination, communication with appropriate official agencies, and preparation and distribution of reports.
  • The Intern participates in the compilation of data and program reporting functions.
  • Participates in staff meetings, training, and workshops, as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor's Degree program in Criminal Justice, Human Services or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the fields of addictions or mental health counseling preferred.
  • Ability to effectively manage and organize time.
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
