Job Objective: As the IOP Counselor you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the individualized treatment plans for each client. For providing case management services as needed for the assigned clients. Responsible for maintaining a caseload and conducting individual, family and group counseling as noted in the treatment plan. Teaches educational classes as needed. The IOP Counselor will ensure that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out. What You Will Do:
Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. Education: Bachelor's degree required in human services or other related field. Master's degree in human services or other related field preferred. Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed. Findings may disqualify an individual for this position Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years direct service in substance abuse field preferred. If in recovery, must demonstrate at least two years of sobriety with evidence of emotional and social stability. Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 90 days of employment. ICAADA certified preferred or within 12 months of employment. Licensed Addiction Counselor certification preferred or within 12 months of hire. Maintain certification requirements as applicable Skills/Abilities:

Travel: Position may be required to attend court hearings or external training opportunities. Transporting clients may also be required. Working Conditions: Work is performed in typical office environment; may require some weekend and evening work.
