Overview The Deputy General Counsel works closely with the Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel ("CLO") to plan and direct the full range of work and the day-to-day activities of the General Counsel's Office. Provides legal advice and representation to ACOG and the ACOG Foundation (collectively "ACOG") on all aspects of ACOG's activities, including advising committees, staff, districts and sections, and the Board of Directors, with emphasis on contracts, grants, litigation, privacy, employment law, and protection of intellectual property. Identifies and analyzes legal issues, drafts key documents, presents clear recommendations to senior leadership and staff, and assures legal compliance throughout the organization. This position includes people oversight and management. Cover Letter Required Responsibilities * Serve as a legal resource for staff and volunteer leaders, providing analysis, advice, and legal counsel regarding legal aspects of ACOG's operations and programs. Work closely with personnel to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements and reduce risks to the organizations. Qualifications * Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
