Description As a Senior Systems Engineer you will support our government customer at NAS Fallon, NV. In this role, you will use your experience in systems engineering concepts and defense acquisition to support a critical Navy mission. This is a 100% on-site position - not eligible for telework. Support analyses and studies for requirements development, engineering feasibility, system affordability, reliability, maintainability, testability, systems integration, vulnerability, and susceptibility Support and evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, and functional requirements. Requirements Education, Skills, and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related area of study is required 5 years of practical experience in systems engineering associated with modeling and simulation within the training and training systems domains 5 years of acquisition experience, with two 2 years in a DoD program directly supporting Training and/or Training Systems Acquisition 5 years of experience with support engineering functions such as reliability, maintainability, EMI, logistics, program funding, statistics, facilities, cost estimating, risk analysis/assessment, and human factors 5 years of experience with current and future military equipment, systems, and associated tactics (U.S., allied, and threat nations) 5 years of experience with a wide range of non-engineering, non-scientific information in the form of Federal Acquisition Regulations, Military Standards, DON/DoD/NAVAIR policies, directives, and instructions and must be able to determine the applicability of these documents to assignments Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Proactive personality with the ability to work with limited guidance and supervision Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational skills, adept at managing competing priorities and initiating projects Security Clearance Requirements: This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. The selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
