Description

As a Senior Systems Engineer you will support our government customer at NAS Fallon, NV. In this role, you will use your experience in systems engineering concepts and defense acquisition to support a critical Navy mission.

This is a 100% on-site position - not eligible for telework.

  • Support analyses and studies for requirements development, engineering feasibility, system affordability, reliability, maintainability, testability, systems integration, vulnerability, and susceptibility
  • Support and evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, and functional requirements.

Requirements

Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related area of study is required
  • 5 years of practical experience in systems engineering associated with modeling and simulation within the training and training systems domains
  • 5 years of acquisition experience, with two 2 years in a DoD program directly supporting Training and/or Training Systems Acquisition
  • 5 years of experience with support engineering functions such as reliability, maintainability, EMI, logistics, program funding, statistics, facilities, cost estimating, risk analysis/assessment, and human factors
  • 5 years of experience with current and future military equipment, systems, and associated tactics (U.S., allied, and threat nations)
  • 5 years of experience with a wide range of non-engineering, non-scientific information in the form of Federal Acquisition Regulations, Military Standards, DON/DoD/NAVAIR policies, directives, and instructions and must be able to determine the applicability of these documents to assignments
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proactive personality with the ability to work with limited guidance and supervision
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, adept at managing competing priorities and initiating projects

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. The selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
