Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Has primary responsibility for the Accounting function of the organization.
  • Establishes organizational accounting policies, ensuring compliance with IFRS, GAAP, SOX, or other relevant regulations or guidelines.
  • Directs the maintenance of the division's general ledger; oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close, and approves financial reporting and year-end audit report.
  • Develops divisional budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Maintains and ensures accuracy and integrity of financial data and records.
  • Responsible for aligning departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization.
  • Coordinates financial activities among applicable departments.
  • Develops policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
  • Responsible for the financial record oversight of the organization's benefit plan, including participation in the 'retirement committee'.
  • Responsible for coordination of annual external audit.
  • Maintains detailed knowledge level of financial ERP (SAP) systems including understanding of financial flow of data from all source modules and structural integrity of financial reporting, receivables, payables, inventory, fixed and intangible assets, general ledger, treasury, product and cost hierarchies.
  • Responsible for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, termination

Qualifications

Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's Degree preferred
  • 10-15 years related experience, plus a minimum of 5 years management experience required.

  • CPA required. Other professional certifications preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
