Division Manager-Retirement Plan Sales

We focus on the future and want to help you do the same. Sentry is seeking an experienced Division Manager-Retirement Plan Sales to join our team. As a Division Manager-Retirement Plan Sales, you will lead, manage, and develop a team of Retirement Plan Specialists who are responsible for sales of retirement plans to Sentry commercial insurance clients that meet the company's growth, retention, and profitability objectives within a defined geographic territory.

What You'll Do

  • Recruit, train, motivate, and develop a team of Retirement Plan Specialists who provide retirement plan technical and sales expertise, and assist Sentry's sales teams in developing and delivery of point of sale presentations.

  • Oversee the development and facilitation of training sessions with Sentry's sales teams.

  • Oversee and direct the preparation and presentation of large case sales presentations, as well as driving retention and procurement of major accounts.

  • Participate in the development and execution of retirement plan promotions and marketing initiatives.

  • Participate in the development of direct sales.

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with other Sentry business units through ongoing collaboration and communications.

  • Monitor, review, and evaluate sales results, premium trends, and retention of assigned geographic area.

What it Takes

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of related work experience

  • Demonstrated success at leading and managing a field sales team; and the ability to manage, inspire, motivate, and effectively communicate with a sales team.

  • Demonstrated success at retirement plan and group benefit sales in the small and mid-markets

  • Strong technical knowledge of retirement plan & group benefit products, and familiarity with underwriting policies and procedures.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills.

  • Current license to sell life and health insurance products or the ability to obtain a license in a reasonable amount of time and/or Series 6, 7, 26, and 63.

  • Proficient knowledge and use of PC software applications such as Microsoft Dynamics, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

  • Ability to meet travel demands of position (over 50%) and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record.

  • Retirement Plan industry or financial/retirement plan sales and/or customer service related experience.

  • Knowledge of retirement plan products and familiarity with ADP/ACP nondiscrimination testing beneficial.

  • Poised public speaker with proven ability to engage and present to diverse audiences of all sizes.

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills required
