The primary purpose of the Accounting Analyst is to manage the reconciliation of Caterpillar parts invoicing.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a positive work environment and promote the vision, mission and values of BMC.
  • Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Responsible for reconciliations of 6 GL accounts.
  • Daily review, verify and reconciliation of CAT parts reporting.
  • Learn and master all internal systems to review, track and reconcile all parts return transactions.
  • Work with the individual team members from multiple functional disciplines to follow up on return transactions and outcomes.
  • Document and ensure end-to-end closure on all accounts.
  • Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
  • Performs mid-level general ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and report, identify, and correct errors made by both internal and external personnel.
  • Prepare special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related AP, inventory, reconciliation and/or staff accounting experience required or Associate Degree in Accounting.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office environment with emphasis on Excel Pivot Tables, Formatting and utilizing formulas.
  • Strong critical thinking skills coupled with attention to detail.
  • High level of personal integrity with ability to maintain, store, transmit and communicate highly confidential information.
  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with executives, managers, employees, vendors and customers.
  • Superior planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple and often competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Proven ability to navigate change in a productive manner, remaining open and driven by change in order to meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Sound technical skills with ability to assesses own strengths and weaknesses; pursue training and development opportunities; strive to continuously build knowledge and skills; share expertise with others.
