Purpose

We are looking for a Trainer for our Clinical Applications & Informatics Team. This employee is responsible for conducting training for clinical and non-clinical end users in all clinical applications managed and supported by Dell Medical School IT. Particular focus on EHR training to optimize standardization and user proficiency. Develops training and education programs/materials for providers, clinic staff, administrative departments, pillar stakeholders, and vendors assigned. They will leadtraining sessions in the classroom & virtually, as well as in direct clinical practice. Will assign applications and is responsible for achieving in-depth understanding of the software, workflows and procedures for each application used by each end user.

Responsibilities

Training New Hire Onboarding and Software Updates:

  • Collaborates in the development and delivery of content-specific, competency-based education programs as assigned including new hire and end-user functional training programs.

  • Delivery of training programs which may include classroom, remote hosted or web-based models.

  • Provide training support at various locations as requested.

  • Coordinate logistics associated with education events.

  • Provide individual and group training and support upon request, and upon addition of new clinics/departments.

  • Provide elbow to elbow support for clinical staff, non-clinical staff, and physicians.

  • Manage requests for training, help with access issues, training questions, and collaborate with pillar leads in tracking training progress for users.

Analysis:

  • Reviews and analyzes organization activities and data to aid planning and process improvement with pillar stakeholders of clinical applications and EMR updates/products.

  • Assesses the effectiveness of the curriculum to identify and contribute to quality improvements and provides feedback to supervisor and pillar stakeholders to ensure proper build and maintenance of the technical training environments.

  • Understanding organizational policies and procedures, workflows, and business operations for the ambulatory practices they are representing, workflows, procedures, and functionality available in the application(s).

Consulting:

  • Consults, presents to, and collaborates with Clinical Application & Informatics team, project management, department leadership, super users, and pillar stakeholders, to ensure information is current, standardized, and in alignment with end users' needs and organizational initiatives.

  • Lead optimization of clinical workflows through on-site review and in clinic support.

  • Lead acceleration of provider workflows in order to increase patient satisfaction and clinical quality in order to meet system goals.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Associate degree and three (3) years of experience as a Trainer in the health care industry, or Super User designation; OR Bachelor's Degree and 2 (two) plus years of experience as a Trainer in the health care industry, or Super User designation; OR HS diploma and 6 years of experience as a Trainer in the health care industry, or Super User designation. Knowledge of data structures and the use of information system applications in the practicing healthcare environment of multi-specialty clinic operations, ambulatory surgery center, research, and higher education. Clinical applications experience in either application support or implementation. Preferred Qualifications

Three plus years of experience as a Trainer in the health care industry, clinical degree, or IT related degree. Clinical applications experience in either application support or implementation. Process knowledge specific to revenue cycle, multi-specialty clinic operations ambulatory surgery center, research, and higher education. Expert knowledge of AthenaOne.

Salary Range

$80,000 + depending on qualifications
