Cybersecurity Engineer

The Opportunity:

Everyone knows security needs to be "baked in" to a system architecture-you actually know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. What if you could use your cyber engineering skills to design and develop secure systems for a client? We're looking for an engineer who can create solutions for our J7 customer that will withstand even the most advanced cyber threats.

As a cybersecurity engineer at Booz Allen, you'll develop innovative solutions to complex cyber risk problems and manage evaluation and accreditation of client systems and apply technical solutions working in virtualized environments. You'll coordinate work with various teams to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer's IT needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solutions, so you'll investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. You'll lead the team through a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions, to maintain a balance of security and mission needs.

This is a chance to make a difference in the security of the client's defense training system. Your technical expertise will be vital as you help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices like risk management framework and developing software and hardware solutions on a variety of technology platforms. You'll be able to broaden your skillset into areas like working in virtual environments and cloud-based security while building peace of mind in a critical infrastructure.

You Have:

-3+ years of experience with JWICS Xacta 360 management
-2+ years of experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)
-Experience with cybersecurity in the classified arena
-TS/SCI clearance
-Bachelor's degree
-Ability to obtain IAT Level III DoD 8570 Compliant Certification within 3 months of hire

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with direct support to joint missions and combatant commands
-Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related fieldpreferred; Master of Science in Cybersecurity or a related fielda plus
-CISSP Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
