MC: Pharmacy Core- ( Full-Time. Day Shift ) Our mission is to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ. The Pharmacy Specialist-Clinical IT works under the supervision of the Pharmacy Supervisor- IT to provide clinical informatics pharmacy services at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Promotes and rational drug therapy to physicians, optimize neonatal, pediatric and adult patient outcomes, and minimize hospital costs whenever possible. Monitors medication and guideline templates. Provides drug information and pharmacy consultation secondary to request. Participates in clinical research and publication. Acts as a preceptor for Pharmacy students and residents on clinical rotation. Conducts routine continuous quality improvement data collection. These services may be provided for both the LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Performs other duties as needed. Graduate from a School of Pharmacy accredited by American Council of Pharmaceutical Education with a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or a Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) required. American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited residency preferred. Minimum one year of Pharmacy experience required. Minimum one year of applicable computer-related experience or equivalent required. Current active California Registered Pharmacist required. Epic proficiency required. Epic certification preferred. Requires the use of specified degree and related clinical knowledge to perform clinical validation of system content. Knowledge of policies and procedures. Able to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure. Able to collaborate with others, accept direction, and accept constructive criticisms. Maintains good judgment and self-direction. Able to write legibly and speak effectively; use computer and software programs necessary to the position, including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheet manipulations, and some database access skills. Have analytical and problem solving skills. Able to troubleshoot and calibrate equipment and perform technical activities as required. Able to communicate effectively and professionally with others in person, in writing, and on the telephone; be assertive. Able to think critically; organize and prioritize workload; manage multiple assignments effectively; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information; pay close attention to detail. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; identify and distinguish various sounds associated with workplace; see adequately to read computer screens and written documents necessary to the position; write, hear, read, and speak sufficiently for general conversations in person and on the telephone.
