*Job Summary*
The Ready-Mix Loader Operator is responsible for operating equipment commonly found necessary for the proper maintenance of a ready-mix plant. Equipment operated will include loader, water truck, man lift, forklift, etc. Training will also cover back-up batch activities and plant maintenance. The company also has a variety of voluntary benefits for employees to choose from. *Compensation* *Responsibilities* * Demonstrate safe and efficient operation of equipment while completing assigned tasks * Perform pre-operational/post-operational checks of equipment to ensure equipment can be operated safely * Operate a range of loaders including skip loader, front loader, man lift, and forklift * Perform work area examinations to ensure a safe work environment; any observed hazards must be noted, reported to the supervisor and corrected if possible * Comply with company policies, procedures and work rules, as well as federal safety, health, and environmental regulations * Perform plant maintenance activities as directed * Work may extend to include general labor duties such as shoveling and sweeping * Support other plant activities as directed * Some weekend and night work will be required *Education* High school diploma or GED *Requirements/Qualifications* * Experience operating loaders, man lifts and forklifts * Experience operating equipment outside in all weather conditions * Ability to work under pressure * Work with minimal supervision * Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and climb stairs and ladders up to 24 feet high * Must have reliable transportation for all work shifts * Trustworthy and excellent attendance record *Preferred:* * Strong computer skills * Any maintenance-related certifications * Commercial drivers license *Conditions of Employment* Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing. | |
