Position Summary |
Reporting to the Manager of Instructional Applications, the Enterprise Application Administrator manages enterprise-wide applications that support business operations, teaching, and learning at
MSU Denver. In addition to providing administrative and technical support, you will be a technical expert for IT peers.

Duties/Responsibilities |
60% Application Support
We proactively manage enterprise applications including Office 365/Azure Apps
, Canvas and Ellucian Banner, with a focus on uptime and customer satisfaction. As part of our team, you will embrace a service ethos, supporting the campus community and managing customer relationships while working with peers and vendors to find solutions to identified issues. You'll help build and configure application integrations, and will occasionally conduct client training sessions for supported systems.
20% System Monitoring & Documentation
You'll be part of a team that monitors system health, tests application functionality, and manages upcoming software releases. You will recommend changes to improve application management practices, and will gather and report application performance metrics.
You'll also build the department's knowledge base, contributing articles documenting known solutions, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery protocols.
20% Collaboration and Support
You will participate in division/university-wide projects as a technical resource.
[*] At the discretion of Application Services management, you'll be asked to perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned. |
Required Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree from an Accredited Institution in a related technical field [*]
- 2+ years experience providing customer service in an information technology environment
- Experience independently diagnosing and resolving technical issues in a production environment
[*] Candidates who have not attained a four year degree may substitute 8 years of equivalent education and experience |
Preferred Qualifications |
* Experience working in information technology within higher education
* Experience using and supporting Enterprise systems such as Office 365 Applications (e.g. Sharepoint, Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft Power Automate or other Microsoft Azure/office 365 features for example)
* Experience administration of applications including Learning Management Systems (e.g. Canvas, D2L, etc...) and/or
CRM products (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud )
* Experience administering relational database systems
* Experience integrating systems using APIs or other data transfer methods and familiarity with RESTful API's, Microsoft Graph,
HTML,
JSON, and
XML file types
* Experience creating application/systems or end-user documentation
* Experience navigating Linux and Windows environments
* Familiarity with common scripting protocols, such as
SQL, Bash, or PowerShell, Python |
Work Hours |
8am - 5pm (
MST), Monday - Friday
Hours may vary during peak periods.
This position may offer a hybrid (on-campus and virtual) work option. |
