Position Summary:
Primary
responsibilities are to advise all majors and minors with majors and minors
in Theatre Arts & Technology & Theater, to assist with recruitment
events, and participate in program planning and scheduling. Additionally,
teach two courses per semester, direct a show or coordinate a workshop or
festival event as an outreach within the community, and oversee or generate video
promotions for the Program and for recruitment.

Essential Functions:
- Advise students with majors and minors in Theatre Arts & Technology and Theater.
- Participation in recruitment events and attending committees associated with scheduling and program development is mandatory.
- Theatrical director for plays and/or musicals or devised theatre development. Supervise work study students.

Additional Functions:
- Participate in course
development, curriculum structure, and administrative guidance.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
- M.A. depending on
the area that relates to Performing arts.
- M.F.A or Ph.D.
preferred.
- Experience in
educational and professional theatre.
- At the university's discretion, the education and experience
prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the
satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and
experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Preferred Qualifications:
Can supervise and direct
students, work with the theatre team and STEM areas at the university on
collaborative projects, has good reading and writing skills, proven work
ethic that sees the job done correctly, is flexible with changing
circumstances, and maintains a focused and pleasant professional attitude
with students, staff, and faculty.
Experience with
improvisational techniques would be beneficial.
