Sr Software Engineer

The Opportunity

Responsible individual for Operating System (OS) settings, drivers, configuration, and disk images for all InTouch endpoints.

Responsibilities

• Day to day operating system issues: e.g. Windows Updates, Linux updates, OS errors in Production and in the field, educating the field on the correct OS settings for various InTouch endpoints and Provider Access systems, dealing with customer complaints on OS issues, educating Tech Services on best OS/disk management practices, developing PM processes with Tech Services, rolling out OS improvements to Production.

• Participate in design and development of new products

• Identify and evaluate new solutions for implementation

• Serve as technical expert on operating systems

• Work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment

Candidate Profile

• Experience with various Linux and Linux embedded operating systems as a release engineer, required
• Experience with various Windows and Windows embedded operating systems as a release engineer, required
• Some amount of dev ops experience (building OS from code) is desired
• Understanding of image file tools such as Clonezilla, Active Boot, distribution and patch methods, required.
• Docker experience desired.
• Experience with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), desired.
• Experience with server/fleet management and configuration tools, desired.
• Python, Perl or other programming and scripting languages, desired.
• Experience with C++ application programming on Linux and Windows desired.
• Experience in developing test scripts/automated testing frameworks, desired.
• Ability and initiative to stay current on changing operating system security requirements and vulnerability mitigation.
• Ability to maintain compliance with quality system and regulatory ISO/CFR requirements for all releases.
• Familiarity with Quality System (QS) Regulation/Medical Device Good Manufacturing Practices, is a plus.
• Basic skills with moderate level of proficiency
• Typically requires 2 to 8 years of experience
• 4 year degree or equivalent, or industry experience
• English-language written and spoken communication skills

The base salary range for this position is $XX,XXX - $XX,XXX. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for performance bonus, RSU's, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: . Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
