Director, Medical Market Access & Strategic Alliances - East (Remote)

Sandoz, a Novartis division, is hiring a Director, Medical Account Management and Strategic Alliances to serve as field medical expert to managed markets (MCO, PBM, GPO, SP) and c-suite and key clinical decision makers at national strategic alliance accounts. The Director, Medical Account Management and Strategic Alliances will be Responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining professional relationships with healthcare practitioners involved in formulary development, pipeline, clinical/outcomes investigators, and national healthcare decision makers in prioritized national/regional managed market accounts. In this key role, you will provide expert insights and execute organizational plan to shape medical and health policy, educating formulary decision makers, thought leaders, and key influencers on the clinical and value proposition for therapies developed and commercialized by Sandoz.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: * Develops professional relationships with formulary decision makers and key influencers to ensure access to current medical and scientific information on Sandoz products and areas of therapeutic interest as aligned with Medical Account Management (MAM) strategy. Presents data on Sandoz products to HCPs and formulary decision makers or committees. Collaborates with Managed Mar-ket Account teams, Communications, Medical Units (MSLs, Medical Directors), Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) colleagues as needed. * Develop a strategic and tactical medical plan for national managed market accounts and national strategic alliances. Supports product pre-launch, launch and post-launch activities and communication plans per MAM strategy and tactical plans. Provides customer insights to inform and shape MAM strategy. * Attends and supports scientific and medical congresses. Improves internal and external customer engagement opportunities during medical congresses * Create and implement innovative, new initiatives, programming and tools to expand the reach MCOs and Strategic Alliances with key business objectives * Serves as medical resource for field colleague training and may serve as an on-boarding and/or therapeutic training partner * Collaborate with Sandoz and US Public Affairs team members on educational resources for na-tional strategic alliances and other Sandoz partners * Develops a strategic plan for building and sustaining outreach on biosimilars aligned with business unit objectives and focused on key constituents including national associations and alliances. * Present at national meetings and conferences to educate partners on Sandoz objectives/ issues pertaining to biosimilars
This position can be based remotely anywhere in the east-coast of the U.S. (there may be some restrictions based on legal entity). Please note that this role would not provide relocation as a result. The expectation of working hours and travel (domestic and/or international) will be defined by the hiring manager. This position will require 50-60% travel.

Minimum requirements What you'll bring to the role: * 5 + years of field-based medical experience in the pharmaceutical industry * Doctoral degree: PharmD, MD, or PhD in the life sciences is required * Strong understanding of customer markets with reimbursement scenarios (i.e., Medicare, Medicaid, private third party, etc.) * Strong collaboration experience with government affairs on biosimilar strategy and executional excellence for managed markets and strategic alliances (i.e., State legislation testimony, policy statements, etc.) * Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and project management skills, strong personal integrity, teamwork abilities, and customer focus * Proven track record of performance in leading and influencing internal partners/stakeholders to achieve desired business outcomes in a complex, highly matrixed environment * Strong competency in evidence-based medicine with the ability to differentiate and communicate clinical and overall product value. * Thorough understanding of the drug development process with solid understanding of the FDA, OIG, HIPAA and other guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry Desirable Experience: * Experience within a key managed market segment
