TEACHING ASSISTANT

Loyola University Preschool is looking for an assistant teacher for our preschool program. We are a year round, full day preschool on Loyola's north campus in Rogers Park. We are looking for candidates who are committed to the field of early childhood care and education and who find joy in working with young children. Candidates should be familiar with a play based curriculum model and appreciate the value of play in an environment that supports social/emotional development and is able to implement best practices. Candidates must be responsible, dependable and able to prioritize the safety and well-being of preschool aged children. Candidates must be able to interact positively with adults as well as children and work in partnership with the lead teacher and director to provide the best quality of care possible.

Candidates must have a minimum of an associate's degree in early childhood education (bachelors preferred) and at least one year experience working in a group setting.

Associates or bachelors degree in early childhood education or related field with a minimum of six credit hours of early childhood education and/or development as well as one year of experience working with young children.

AA degree with 6 credit hours of early childhood education.

Minimum of an AA degree with 6 credit hours in early childhood education.
