Inventory Control Analyst

Responsibilities

Classification: Non-Exempt, Non-Bargaining

  • Relies on experience and judgement to accomplish tasks.
  • Analyzes and revises shipment plans to ensure efficient distribution of products to satisfy customer needs.
  • Relies on working knowledge of PeopleSoft Inventory and Purchasing modules to perform specific tasks related to inventory transactions.
  • Candidate will work under direction from management, but also must be self-directed to maintain transactional requirements of distribution inventory.
  • Enter material requisitions in PeopleSoft including correct coding and knowledge of the workflow approval process.
  • Process PeopleSoft RTV's (Return to Vendor) and identify the need for RTV for Credit or RTV for replacement including understanding of vendor RMA process.
  • Process PeopleSoft receipts against Purchase Orders for shipments.
  • Enter MSR's (Material Stock Requests) into PeopleSoft and must understand issuing product from inventory and the replenishment process.
  • Perform both daily and annual Cycle Counting of inventory.
  • Assists Distribution team in day-to-day functions, including checking in incoming shipments, putting material away, and pulling orders for internal customers
  • Coordinates and processes shipping methods with Fed Ex and USPS.
  • Maintains inventory tracking reports.
  • Maintains Match Exception Process and work with Accounts Payable and/or Purchasing to clear receipt exceptions.
Qualifications

  • 2 year degree preferred and/or 4-6 years related experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Valid state driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • Possesse forklift certification (or will obtain within 45 days upon hire)
