Position Summary
This position assists the Department of Human Services and Counseling training clinic by assisting faculty, field director, and clinic director in daily and weekly operations of the counseling training clinic. Employee works mostly independently and with moderate supervision. #LI- DNI
Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assisting students, clients, administrative staff, faculty, program director, field director, and clinic director in daily and weekly operations of the counseling training clinic
  • Scheduling clients for students within clinic software
  • Managing clinic software, such as working directly with IT for continued support
  • Developing and administering training for clinic software
  • Assisting with other related departmental, office, and clinic duties


Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in at least 3 credit hours of graduate coursework and in good standing within the Human Services and Counseling Department. Students enrolled in Practicum I are not eligible
  • Adherence to confidentiality, HIPAA requirements, and strong professional boundaries
  • Basic computer skills, such as Microsoft 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)
  • High level of dependability, attention to detail, flexibility, organizational skills, and self-motivation
  • Ability to work well within a team and also unsupervised/independently
  • Have or qualify for work study funding


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with scheduling software
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records
  • Knowledge and understanding of Graduate Program Handbook and Graduate Academic Catalog

Benefits
MSU Denver offers temporary, non-benefit eligible employees sick leave. The sick leave is accrued at a rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed a maximum of 48 hours in a calendar year.
