Atkore is currently searching for multiple experienced warehousing teammates to be based out of Harvey, IL, located approximately 30 miles south of Downtown Chicago. The starting pay is $20.81. All jobs will be off-shift jobs (2nd (3pm - 11pm) or 3rd (11pm - 7am), M-F, occasional Saturdays, however training can take place on any shift). All hours worked are eligible for a $1.00 per hour shift premium.

The ideal candidate will have a 1 year of prior pick pack experience in a manual picking environment and experience using an RF scanner. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Material handling experience required - Expert in use of Stock picker and sit down forklift. Narrow aisle turret truck operation a plus.


  • Pick, check and process all material being shipped for correct size, length, gauge, piece count, bundle tags, part number and damage.
  • Transport, store and stack all materials in accordance with proper inventory control procedures.
  • Operate a handheld scanner and utilize a variety of printed work instructions as part of daily work assignment.


Qualifications include:



  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in warehousing environment is required.
  • Ability to lift 45 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Strong sense of time organization and sense of urgency, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must pass a drug screen and physical.
